lessons were learned? Join this discussion to explore how these lessons are applicable
today as we continue to deal with the COVID-19 virus.


Rabbi Bob Loewy is the Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Gates of Prayer in Metairie, LA
(a suburb of New Orleans), having served the Congregation from 1984-2018. A 1972
graduate of Cornell University and ordained in 1977 from the Hebrew Union CollegeJewish Institute of Religion, Rabbi Loewy’s career has been marked by leadership in
many aspects of the Reform Jewish Movement and the New Orleans Jewish
Community. In his retirement he continues to be active in both areas of involvement
