In partnership with the Rabbi & guest speakers, the Adult Education (aka Lifelong Learning) Committee plans classes, lectures, discussions, & special programs to meet the diverse interests of the congregation. Email the chair for more information.

Upon Rabbi Dresner’s death, the library was renamed the Rabbi Dresner Memorial Library. Since April 2022, we have retained the services of a professional librarian to make the dream a reality. The Dresner Center is now its own 501(c)(3) and this committee helps maintain clear, consistent communication between TBT and its spinoff.

Makes a detailed estimate of the income & operating expenses for the ensuing year, submits an annual budget for the coming year, & supervises the audit or compilation of accounts of the congregation. Contact the co-chairs.

This committee plans & executes fundraising events that build community while generating essential revenue for the synagogue. Contact the chair.

This committee researches opportunities that align with TBT’s missions & priorities (that are not not related to security), prepare grant materials, & submit completed drafts to our Executive Director for final review & submission. 📝

Our annual High Holy Day appeal is the cornerstone of TBT’s strength. It helps cover the real costs of running the synagogue, from services and programs to maintaining our building. Email the Co-Presidents.

This committee is responsible for the regular & long range maintenance, emergency repairs, security, & upkeep of TBT’s building, systems, & grounds. Email the House Chair.

Develops programming to serve interfaith TBT couples and unaffiliated persons to serve their unique needs with a related goal of encouraging the unaffiliated to join TBT. Guided by our Rabbi’s deep commitment to interfaith understanding, TBT buildings meaninful relationships with people of many faiths through learning, dialogue, and shared acts of community care. In addition, our Executive Director is affiliated with the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, which was created to build trust, respect, and relationships between Muslim and Jewish women of all ages, as well as Institute for Islamic, Christian, & Jewish Studies, an independent, educational nonprofit that straddles the academic arena and the public square with programming to advance interreligious dialogue and understanding. ☸️🕉️✝️ ☪️✡️ Email Rabbi Beal.

This committee reaches out to members who themselves, or a family member or friend, are listed on the Mi Sheberach (healing) list, call congregants who will be observing a yahrzeit (anniversary of a loved one’s passing) during the coming week, and seek ways to provide greater access to congregational life to people with educational, physical, and other needs. The Nominating Committee plays a key role in identifying and recommending thoughtfull, committed leaders to guide our congregation. Their work helps ensure have a strong board in place to support good decision-making and keep things running smoothly. They want YOU! 🫵🏻 Email our Executive Director.
This extension of the Finance Committee, is responsible for the dues relief process. They do this in a completely confidential manner. Email our Co-Treasurers.
In conjunction with the Rabbi & School Principal, the Religious School Committee develops the educational program for grades pre-K through 12 & oversees the operation of the school. Email the Director of Education. 🏫
In consultation with the Clergy, the Ritual Committee considers & establishes observances for the Congregation & promotes practices in the home that will enhance the values of Jewish Living. They maintain an up-to-date inventory of all religious-oriented synagogue property, including Torahs, books, religious articles, etc. Email our Rabbi.
TBT’s Security Committee helps keep our congregants, guests, property, and programs safe. It focuses on being prepared without disrupting the warm, welcoming environment of our community. They assess risks, develop safety policies, coordinates with professionals, oversees security measures, plans for emergencies, and supports a culture of awareness. Email our House Chair.
This committee sets the long-term vision and priorities of the congregation, helping guide decisions about membership, finances, and growth. It gathers input from stakeholders and translates it into a clear, actionable roadmap for the temple’s future. Email the Co-Presidents.
The Women of Chai (TBT’s Sisterhood) focuses on community-building programs for synagogue members of all ages and stages. Sisterhood supports the synagogue’s various activities, and sponsors both educational and entertaining events throughout the year. Contact Woman of Chai.
